PREVEN ERASMUS+ PROJECT: TRAINING TO COMBAT BURN-OUT

Our next project will intervene in the field of social and health professions. In fact, with the contribution of the Erasmus+ program, the PREVEN project will start in late autumn of this year, which aims to make an innovative contribution to improving the quality of working life of health personnel. PREVEN focuses above all on reducing the risks of "burn-out" (the main cause of serious negligence and sometimes violence perpetrated by health professionals on the people they assist) through the identification of the reasons that generate it and the development of "soft skills" as a factor in preventing such negligence of behavior. In particular, we will work on the interaction of transversal skills (teamwork, problem solving, communication, empathy in relationships, etc.) with the operational characteristics of the different organizational and environmental contexts.

Space will be given to the training of OSS trainers (social-health workers) and various institutions and professional organizations will be involved to intervene in the largest possible number of work realities.

To this end, three "educational products" will be implemented:

·       an online self-diagnosis test/game, produced by Medoro, to allow participants to identify and assess the level of those soft skills necessary to deal with stressful work situations;

·       an interactive path to facilitate the learning of the health professionals involved;

·       an electronic guide, to support the tools provided to trainers, which will contain notes and explanations relating to the online pathway, information resources and theoretical references on transversal skills.

The PREVEN project will last two years and will be managed by a European partnership formed, in addition to Medoro for Italy, by 4 other partners from France, Poland and Ireland.
